Weight training is an exercise activity that uses resistance training and weights. Weight training is a favored activity of both body builders and athletes.

Body Building and Weight Training

Body building depends on weight training to increase the size of the muscle structure. Weight training is also a favored activity of athletes because of the stamina that weight training builds in addition to the extra strength that weight training results in. Weight training challenges the muscles of the body to lift more weight which is increased over time. This increase in weight builds stamina. It provides the athlete with the ability to sustain more wear and tear on the body without growing tired. Take for instance and baseball pitcher, the main concern of an athlete that pitches is upper arm strength a great way to increase upper arm strength is through resistance and weight training. The results will be a less fatigued arm after a rousing game.
